DSLAM Controller Software (DCS)

Aricent’s DSLAM Controller Software (DCS) solution is a complete software product for rapid development of compact IP-DSLAMs for VDSL2 deployments. To address typical IP-DSLAM requirements, the DCS offers complete Layer 2 Ethernet switching and integrated management capabilities in line with TR-101 recommendations. The DCS design enables equipment manufacturers to quickly develop and deploy IP-DSLAMs in a timely manner.

• Extensive system management capabilities with SNMPv3 and an industry standard CLI which allow stand alone and remote configuration capability of the network equipment.
• Portable design with independent components including:
  • Compilation switches to include / exclude modules from builds.
  • Defined abstractions at module level for portability:
    • OS interfaces
    • Management interfaces
    • Hardware abstractions for data plane switching chipsets and other networking subsystems.
    • Interfaces with other modules (facilitates rapid integration with different combinations of OS, CPU, and chipsets
