The Aricent InterConnect settlement system (ICSS)
controls call completion costs by ensuring precise charging among
interconnect partners, automating dispute processing, and providing useful
information about interconnect settlements among partners. Interconnect
charges account for more than half of most operators’ ongoing costs, so ICSS
provides critical accuracy and speed in processing interconnect billings.
ICSS has five key functions:
- It precisely charges interconnect partners,
thereby eliminating cash flow lags caused by settlement disputes.
- Its powerful invoice reconciliation module ensures
that an operator doesn't end-up paying more than actual charges.
- Its configurable Dispute Management module
automates the process of Interconnect Dispute handling, thereby reducing
response time in the event of dispute.
- It enables the user to maintain information
pertaining to interconnect settlements for the home operator and
multiple interconnect partners.
- It produces reports that allow the user to track
inter-operator traffic patterns, carrier-wise cost/revenue analyses,
agreement violations, and other data.

- Configuration and management of complex
interconnect agreements
