CAS enables the creation of multiple product lines based on a single software platform, and includes the following capabilities:

Routing & Switching – RIP v1/v2 OSPF v2 with MD5, Ethernet interfaces, Ethernet Switching, 802.1x based port authentication, RSTP, MSTP and advanced VLAN management with GVRP

Wireless LAN – 802.11 a/b/g/n, support for multiple SSIDs, user authentication based on 802.1x for each wireless client, and WEP/WPA/WPA 2 encryption

Quality of Service (QoS) / Traffic Management – Advanced QoS features based on fields like Source IP, Destination IP, VLAN ID, DSCP value, interface and protocol, 802.1p, DiffServ, and class based queuing

VPNs and Security Services – IPSec VPN, stateful inspection firewall, DoS mitigation, NAT and common ALGs

Voice Services – Session Border Controller services including, SIP Proxy, Registrar, Call Admission Control (CAC), Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) and other key enterprise centric SIP enabled voice services
