WiMAX ASN Gateway Control Plane (SigASN)
Aricent SigASN is a platform-independent signaling
module and forms the core component of the WiMAX ASN Gateway. The software
product is a WiMAX standards-based, off-the-shelf, software signaling
framework that enables communication equipment manufacturers to quickly
develop WiMAX (802.16e) ASN gateways.
A member of the WiMAX Forum, Aricent has been actively
tracking WiMAX technology in conformance with the Network Working Group
Forum's roadmap of ASN gateway specifications for various profiles. As a
result, Aricent has effectively evolved its SigASN product in step with the
progression of the WiMAX specifications, ensuring that customers are
shielded from the added costs of technology upgrades.
In addition, Aricent's comprehensive set of IP-based
datacom offerings such as Radius, DHCP, and IGMP, serve as building blocks
for the ASN Gateway. The Aricent SigASN solution is the most comprehensive
ASN gateway framework available, and with Aricent’s continuing investment in
evolution, it assures that a standards-based solution will be available for
customer deployment as technology evolves.
