Network Design Services
Aricent's network design services include:
- Network Design (Radio, Core, IP, Transmission, Backbone)
Aricent performs detailed sub-system design to match the projected number of
subscribers, data throughput, coverage, service delivery and capacity for
the network. Design objectives include ensuring compatibility between
different system interfaces and open protocol usage to deliver seamless
service. Aricent has focused teams with over 3000 experts working in the
areas of Radio, Core, IP, Transmission, IMS and SIP to ensure seamless
service delivery by designing complex multi-technology, multi-vendor
networks that meet the current and projected future requirement of our
customers.
- Capacity and Coverage Assessment and Planning
Our NCIS experts create detailed coverage plots and maps using industry
standard tools and applications to ensure that network capacity and coverage
is mapped to the planning inputs. A major activity in this phase is to map
dense urban and sub-urban areas, taking into consideration the changes in
network traffic patterns during business and non-business hours. The mapping
is then used to not only optimize site and network element count, backbone
bandwidth and redundancy planning but to also avoid single point of failures
while minimizing capex. Over the years, Aricent has delivered significant
cost savings for its customers, using its highly expert workforce which has
years of experience in network capacity and coverage planning.
- Radio Resource Dimensioning
In this phase, our experts plan the end-to-end BSS system, including TRXs,
Sectors, BTS, BSC, BTS-BSC Transmission (SDH/PDH), E1/T1, IP planning and
link dimensioning. Other activities include performing site surveys,
completing drive tests, downloading network parameters, defining handover
definitions and link budgeting to design a no-congestion network with
excellent coverage. Aricent, with its strong expertise in 2G, 2.5G, UMTS,
CDMA 1x EVDO, WiMAX and Femto networks, is an ideal partner for network
planning and dimensioning.
