for their networks. We address this concern as part of our Network Planning
service, where we first work to understand the operator vision and create a
matching business model and case; aligning the vision with the overall
business context. This includes technologies, vendor(s), solution and
roadmap modeling of the network, services and applications. Our 16 years of
focused experience in communications networks and the expertise of
consultants with over 15 years of experience ensure that the vision is

Design
We then put together a high level network design based on desired service
availability. This design covers various aspects related to disaster
recovery, inter city/region connectivity, maximizing capex utilization,
reducing opex and leveraging existing assets. Aricent, with its focused
network design practice comprising strong multi-technology and domain
skills, ensures maximum value for every dollar spent by the operator. This
is achieved through balancing resources and constraints to deliver a network

Evaluation
The proliferation of competing and complementing technologies, lack of
standardization and OEMs' endorsement of their preferred technologies and
solutions, make capex protection a daunting task. Aricent's task is to
simplify this for the operator, with an experienced team of Aricent
technologists and consultants that maps the network and service strategy of
the operator to relevant technologies, develops detailed SWOT analysis,
shares technology forum roadmaps and maps and evaluates technology, with
visibility for four to eight years.
