Aricent Launches Hiring Spree in India

Company to Grow Global Workforce up to 10% in Three Months; Majority of Recruitment to be in India

Aricent, a global innovation, technology and outsourcing company focused exclusively on the communications industry, today announced plans to expand its global workforce by up to 10 percent by year end, with a particular emphasis on its India operations.

Aricent has launched the most ambitious hiring initiative in the company's history to support its growing customer engagements globally. The company aims to add approximately 800 people over the next three months in various centers around the world. The emphasis for this campaign will be adding additional customer-oriented personnel, including engineers, team leaders and customer support resources, with a high percentage of these new hires being recruited in India.

The company recently reported a significant up-round of financing and record business metrics through the first quarter of its fiscal year. On October 7, 2008 Aricent also announced that ex-Wipro executive Sudip Nandy will join the company as CEO.
