Digital Imaging / Image Tuning
Aricent offers services and products for a variety
of image pre & post processing algorithms. Aricent teams have
accelerated and reduced the risk of product development for most of the
world’s top mobile handset and hardware manufacturers.
In successful engagements with most of the world’s
leading cellular phone and imaging chip manufacturers, Aricent has
developed unique abilities for customizing and integrating digital
imaging technology into handheld devices. For example, Aricent recently
assisted the largest Tier1 mobile chipset silicon vendor in tuning image
algorithms of various camera devices that are integrated into the
vendor’s latest chipset, which is capable of encoding and decoding 720p
HD video.
In addition to developing its own audio, video and
image algorithms for pre- and post processing, Aricent provides services
to mobile phone OEMs and silicon vendors in tuning and aligning these
algorithms with the imaging devices available on specific phones and
chipsets. This includes development of algorithms, device drivers,
tuning and maintenance services. Aricent has developed algorithms for
every image tuning function, including video stabilization, white
balance, gamma correction, panorama stitching, backlit correction, low
light enhancement, acoustic echo cancellation, noise suppression, and
color conversion etc.
