Multimedia Messaging
Mobile messaging will continue to grow exponentially as
tomorrow's higher bandwidth networks become reality. New infrastructure will
enable higher data rates, faster connections and new messaging applications
that will further fuel demand. Network capacity will increase spectacularly
with the introduction of new network architectures, adding pressure for
messaging usage. A profusion of messaging services, including Multimedia
Messaging Services (MMS), are set to unleash new ways to communicate. At the
same time the traditional Short Message Service (SMS) will have a life
through the next five years and will complement the Enhanced Messaging
Services (EMS) and MMS applications.
