Aricent Group Ranked as Top Technology Innovator by InformationWeek 500

EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey - September 18, 2012 – Aricent Group, a global innovation and technology services company, announced it has been named to the 2012 InformationWeek 500, an annual recognition of the most innovative users of business technology in the United States.

Aricent Group was the winner in this year’s InformationWeek top 500 technology innovators for its innovative enterprise deployment of salesforce.com.  By following a six sigma approach, Aricent re-engineered and automated key quote and contract business processes to provide real time sales information and dashboards that are accessible via mobile devices across all business units.

This is the second time that Aricent Group has ranked in the InformationWeek 500, following its top 100 ranking in 2009. The previous award was in recognition of Aricent Group’s commitment to improving mobile communication across their employee base, resulting in a 25% reduction in its telecom costs.

Raj Datt, SVP of Global Operations and CIO, at Aricent said, “This prestigious award is strong validation of our commitment to IT Innovation and Excellence. Like with our customers, internally too, Aricent has repeatedly stepped up to the challenge of delivering innovative, value enabling technologies that will be leveraged for our growth strategy and delivering productivity within the organization.  Operational excellence is the cornerstone of our success and has enabled us to bring people, process and technologies together - harmonizing the journey of imagination and value creation both, to support top line growth and profitability.”

“The InformationWeek 500 has recognized the most innovative users of business technology for 24 years, and this year’s innovations were particularly impressive,” said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. “What the editors looked for are unconventional approaches—new technologies, new models, new ways of grabbing business opportunities and solving complex business problems with IT.”

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments, and administrative practices of America’s best-known companies.  The InformationWeek 500 rankings are unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
